It's been a
busy two months around Eureka! Beads, with our resident web girl Bobbi overseas on buying trips and gemmological conferences! Never fear, she's back in the country, and has updated the website with a great monthly special and some fabulous new glass seed beads. Read on to find out more.
These fantastic twisted flat oval glass bead strands are currently on sale: were $8 now only $2 per strand. Sale prices are available online and instore, until the 30th June.
Our entire range of glass crystal strands are marked down to $2 per strand (were $4.50 - $5.50). Fabulously sparkly, these glass crystal beads are great as both features and fillers in a wide range of projects. Sale prices are available online and instore, until the 31st July,
strictly whilst stocks last.
Plenty of other specials online also, browse through our sale category to
see them all!
We've been busy this month, getting a lot of our Chinese glass seed beads up online. Our Chinese seed beads are available in a large range of colours, and are inexpensive compared to their Japanese counterparts, however the sizing is not as exact. Great as fillers and for projects where
exact sizes are not needed. All of the beads below are also available at our Toomuc Valley store, some are available at our Cheltenham store, with more rolling out over the coming weeks.
Bobbi, heading 25 metres down a sapphire mine in Sri Lanka
Searching for an elusive sapphire
Our resident pink haired Gemmologist has just returned from a buying trip to China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Whilst in Sri Lanka, she attended the 2015 ICA Congress, a world conference hosted by the International Coloured Gemstone Association. She came back with a wealth of information particularly on the Sri Lankan gems such as sapphires, rubies and moonstone and had a wonderful time at
the social gatherings. After the Congress, a large contingent of the delegates continued onto a mine tour of Sri Lanka, seeing the way that stones come from the ground to the end consumer.
We're now eagerly awaiting our latest shipment of new goodies - we'll be sure to keep everyone informed as the new products start to roll in!
