As mentioned briefly in our last newsletter, we've had a large shipment come in and we're madly trying to get through the new stock, cataloguing it and getting it up on the website and out in the shops. The first wave has hit the website - fun metal charms! More to come soon (and keep an eye out

CHELTENHAM Beading Classes Our latest set of beading classes is now available to
see on our website! Come along and join in on the fun and excitement of jewellery making, with classes available for those just starting out, to
the more advanced. Class numbers are limited, so call and book into the class of your choice today. Classes are held at our shop in Cheltenham, Victoria. Don't forget that we have a great range of free beading instructions available for download.
We hold beginners classes twice a month and advanced classes twice a month. A beginners stringing necklace must be completed before attempting an advanced class. Advanced classes change every month - keep an eye on our website for the latest list! Our upcoming classes are: |
| Beginners Class – Tigertail Necklace & Earrings
Monday 6 Feb, 1:00pm – 2:30pm

***BEGINNERS – $25 per person, includes all materials***
Learn to make this versatile basic necklace - techniques covered include stringing beads, opening jump rings, working with crimps, turning loops and more. The skills covered in this class will set you up to create a range of different necklaces and earrings from a wide range of materials in
the future.

Not confident turning loops on head and eye pins? Once you've finished this class you certainly should be! Using lovely sparkly Swarovski beads, this charm bracelet involves a lot of practice turning loops and working with jump rings.

Pulling up the trays of oysters at the pearl farms in Japan, hoping to find an elusive pearl! | If you've followed our newsletter for a while, you may have noticed that I have an above average interest in gemstones, traveling to far flung places such as the Sri Lankan sapphire fields, Thai gem markets and Japanese pearl farms to indulge in my passion. As a qualified gemmologist, I enjoy constantly learning about new gemstones, mining practices, new treatments
and more.
The Gemmological Association of Australia's Diploma Course is starting now at locations around Australia - the course is 2 years (can be done intensively at some locations) and whilst requires dedicated study, is an immensely fun and interesting course.
Through the course, you will get hands on as you learn how to identify coloured and colourless gemstones, get down to the theory behind the gemstones, and be surrounded by teachers and
students alike who share a passion in gemmology.
