Brrr, we're finally starting to receive some serious cold Autumn weather here in Victoria - whilst it makes the mornings difficult, it does mean there is more evening time for beading! Read on to find out about our monthly special, upcoming public holiday (Queens Birthday), and to find out what I've been up to of late (hint - it includes lots of sunny beaches!).
Our large range of shell bead strands are currently on sale: were $4 - $11 now only $1 per strand. Sale prices are available online and instore (stock varies and is limited), until the 31st May.
Our latest set of beading classes is now available to see on our website! Come along and join in on the fun and excitement of jewellery making, with classes available for those just starting out, to the more advanced. Class numbers are limited, so call and book into the class of your choice today. Classes are held at our shop in Cheltenham, Victoria. Don't forget
that we have a great range of free beading instructions available for download.
We hold beginners classes twice a month and advanced
classes twice a month. A beginners stringing necklace must be completed before attempting an advanced class. Advanced classes change every month - keep an eye
on our website for the latest list! Our upcoming classes are:
Beginners Class – Tigertail Necklace & Earrings
Friday 25 May, 12:00pm – 1:30pm
***BEGINNERS – $25 per person, includes all materials***
Learn to make this versatile basic necklace - techniques covered include stringing beads, opening jump rings, working with crimps, turning loops and more. The skills covered in this class will set you up to create a range of different necklaces and earrings from a wide range of materials in the
future.
Colour of findings is silver - students are able to choose colour of beads on the day. Class sizes limited, so call us on 9584 1678 to book in today.
Public Holiday
Our Cheltenham and Toomuc Valley stores will be closed on June 11th for
the Queens Birthday public holiday. Our website will still be taking orders, however due to post office closures, orders will not be sent until Tuesday June 12th.
Did You Know?
I've been traveling! I've just returned home from a 6 week whirlwind trip around South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique, Madagascar and Mauritius. Amazing countries to
travel through, our trip had a heavy focus on Scuba Diving, with a couple of gemstone features thrown in!
I have some travel videos to share - watch out for the next newsletter to see them. In the meantime, on the left is a photo of me playing with some local kids at one of the sapphire fields that we visited in Madagascar!
