September! We've made it to September! If you're down here in Victoria you'll be enjoying the beautiful (but unpredictable) spring weather we've been having. That, and the football! Biggest news this month are that we're closed a few days - we'll be closed for the Friday and Saturday of the AFL Grand Final weekend (28th/29th September). Our Toomuc store also has restricted the week prior due to a power outage (21st September, only open until 11am). Please read on
for more details.

NOTICE! Upcoming Shop Closure
We've just had notice that we have a 'planned' power outage at our Toomuc Store on Friday 21st September from 11am onwards. We will open in the morning from 10am - 11am, and then be closed for the rest of the day, so if you have any urgent beading shopping to be done, please come by and finalise your purchases by 11am. We hope this won't affect our ability to get online orders out on time, but please
bare with us.
This does not affect our Cheltenham store, which will be open as per normal on the Friday, and both shops will be open regular hours on Saturday (10am - 5pm).
|
Further to the
above, both our Cheltenham and Toomuc Valley stores will be closed on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th September for the AFL Grand Final. Our website will still be taking orders, however due to post office closures, orders will not be sent until Monday 1st October.

#GemmologyFacts: Throughout history, rubellite (red tourmaline), like red spinel, has inadvertently thought to be ruby, and used
in many exquisite pieces, such as the Saint Wenceslas Crown.
The royal crown features the oldest known tourmaline, likely of Afghanistan origin.
Made in 1346-1387, the red centrepiece easily outdates the first use of the word "tourmaline".
