Our latest set of beading classes is now available to see on our website! Come along and join in on the fun and excitement of jewellery making, with classes available for those just starting out, to the more advanced. Class numbers are limited, so call and book into the class of your choice today. Classes are held at our shop in Cheltenham, Victoria. Don't forget that we have a great range of free beading instructions available for download.

Learn to make this beautiful necklace in our 1.5 hour class. Using a large toggle clasp as a centrepiece, this necklace uses glass crystals and chain to create a unique look.

We recently had a visitor to our Toomuc store excitedly exclaim "do you know what this is?!" when she saw one of our larger metal pendant charms. She went on to explain that it is an imitation of the Phaistos disc and that she spent much of her teaching career lecturing students about it.

 

The Phaistos disc made from fired clay found on the island of Crete. It is thought to date to the middle or late Minoan Bronze Age. It is considered one of the most famous mysteries of archeology, as its purpose and meaning are as of yet unknown. The symbols etched into it have been widely studied and continue to evoke debate in scholars - it is generally accepted that until more examples are found the mysteries are unlikely to be uncovered.
